Japanese Emperor and Empress attended the parliament's 130th anniversary ceremony
On November 29, 2020, Japanese Emperor Naruhito, Empress Masako and Princess Mako attended the Japanese Parliament’s 130th anniversary ceremony held at the Diet building in Tokyo. The Imperial Diet, Japan’s first modern legislature, was established in 1890 under the 1889 Meiji Constitution, the first modern Constitution enacted in Japan.
