Queen Maxima announced winners of the King Willem I Prize 2020
On Wednesday evening, November 25, Queen Maxima announced winners of the King Willem I Prize in the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam. The King Willem I Foundation was established in 1958 on the initiative of De Nederlandsche Bank by a number of organizations associated with the business community.
Queen Maxima gave an online speech at FAO Webinar
As a special advocate of the UN Secretary-General for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA), Queen Maxima gave an online speech at the Food and Agriculture webinar held under the title ‘Urgent call for agri-food systems transformation to achieve healthy diets for all’. In her speech, Queen Maxima emphasized the importance of good access to and safe use of digital financial services for the sustainable development of small farms in developing countries.
Queen Maxima opened renewed Het Dolhuys Museum in Haarlem
On November 24, 2020, Dutch Queen Maxima opened the renewed Het Dolhuys (in English: “The crazy house” ) Museum in the former Plague, Dol, and Leproos House in Haarlem. The museum is a national museum for psychiatry in the Netherlands. The museum shows personal stories at the intersection of mental health, art and science.
